The core decision

New Jersey virtual CIO/CTO services, hands on

New Jersey’s mix of logistics, pharma, retail and professional services runs on systems that were bought one at a time. New Jersey virtual CIO/CTO services from me start by mapping how those systems connect, then fix, integrate or replace them, with the development and deployment done rather than handed to the next vendor. I work on Eastern hours, remotely.

Point of sale and multi-location retail

IMFlow360 is a multi-tenant POS and business-operations platform on a single schema of about 146 tables, with an offline-first Flutter terminal and a paired customer display. Multi-location New Jersey retailers face the same questions it answers: what works offline, what syncs, and who sees which store.

The services behind the screens

The DinDin platform services handle printing, messaging, payouts, fax dispatch, subscriptions and delivery dispatch. That unglamorous layer is where most small-business IT breaks, and it is part of what my New Jersey virtual CIO/CTO services cover.

Data you already have, put to work

ProfileDriver turned historical dealership data into customer segments and marketing strategy. Most New Jersey firms sit on years of data like that; the work is importing it cleanly and asking it the right questions.

Fit

Who this helps

  • Retail, restaurant and multi-location businesses running POS and back-office software side by side.
  • Logistics and distribution firms with data trapped in older systems.
  • Professional-services firms that have outgrown spreadsheets and shared drives.
  • Owners who want one accountable technology lead instead of three vendors.

Scope

What I take on

  • Architecture and stack decisions, written down with their reasons
  • Hands-on development: Laravel, Node.js, Next.js, Python, Flutter and React Native
  • Deployment and cloud operations on AWS, from CI/CD to monitoring and backups
  • Multi-tenant SaaS design: tenant isolation, roles and permissions, per-tenant settings
  • Integrations, data migration and legacy systems, including ones with no API
  • AI features on your own infrastructure when they pay for themselves

Deliverables

What you get

  1. A technology roadmap tied to what the business needs this quarter
  2. Code, infrastructure and releases you own, in your repositories and accounts
  3. A written decision record your next engineer can read
  4. A weekly working session on US hours, plus async updates

What is included in New Jersey virtual CIO/CTO services?

Technology strategy, architecture, system integration, hands-on development, deployment and vendor oversight. The build plans include development hours; the advisory plan covers decisions and reviews.

What does it cost?

Four monthly plans: CTO advisory at $1,500 for 20 hours, Fractional CTO at $2,800 for 40 hours, CTO plus build at $4,800 for 80 hours, and a full-time equivalent at $8,000 for 160 hours. Ad hoc work is $75 an hour. A US fractional CTO usually charges $170 to $250 an hour, and that rarely includes writing the code.

Do you work on US hours?

Yes. I work full time on US time zones, remotely, with a weekly working session and the same-day answers a product team needs. I do not have a local office and do not claim one.

Can you work with our existing vendors?

Yes. I set the direction and the standards, review what vendors deliver and build what nobody else owns.
